Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use Vigil (vigilhealth.co.uk), with or without an account. Vigil is run by Vigil Health Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17385739), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, UK. Contact us at hello@vigilhealth.co.uk.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, including your health data.
2. Who can use Vigil
You can use Vigil if you are 18 or over and live in the UK. Before each upload we ask you to confirm you are 18 or over, and to tell us whether you are pregnant, currently unwell, or on treatment for a diagnosed condition. Vigil isn't suitable during pregnancy or while you're unwell, and we won't produce a report in those cases.
Upload only your own blood test results. Please answer the eligibility questions honestly; they exist to keep Vigil from giving you information that doesn't apply to you.
3. What Vigil is, and what it isn't
Vigil provides general health information and education to help you understand blood test results you have already obtained from a laboratory. It explains what each marker is, how your values compare with the laboratory reference range and published longevity-oriented ranges, and, if you have an account with more than one panel, how your values have changed. It suggests general lifestyle considerations and encourages you to discuss your results with a GP.
Vigil is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, screen for, predict, prevent, monitor or treat any disease or condition. It does not estimate your risk of disease or recommend medicines, supplements or doses. It is not a substitute for a GP or other qualified healthcare professional, and it is not affiliated with the laboratory that produced your results.
- Don't start, stop or change any medicine or treatment because of something you read on Vigil. Talk to your GP or the clinician managing your care.
- Longevity-oriented ranges come from published research. They are reference points, not clinical targets.
- Vigil relies on the values you confirm. Please check them against your laboratory report.
Vigil is not an emergency service. If you feel unwell, contact your GP or NHS 111, or call 999 in an emergency. If a result is at a level laboratories treat as needing prompt medical review, Vigil will not produce a report and will direct you to your GP or NHS 111 instead. Vigil does not check every result for every risk, so the absence of such a message doesn't mean a result is safe.
4. Your responsibilities
When you use Vigil, you agree to:
- upload only your own results, and confirm the extracted values carefully;
- keep your account details and any private access link to yourself;
- not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no automated scraping, and no uploading of material that isn't a blood test report.
If you have an account, you are responsible for activity under it. Tell us straight away at hello@vigilhealth.co.uk if you think someone else has accessed it.
5. Price and payment
The free results view costs nothing. A full written report is a one-off purchase of £29, shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe. A report bought without an account is available for 12 months from purchase. During early access, the number of reports available may be limited.
6. Your right to cancel
Your report is digital content. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you would normally have 14 days to cancel. Before you pay, we ask you to agree that you want your report delivered immediately and to acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once it has been delivered. We record that agreement, and the version of these terms it was given against. If you don't agree, we can't sell you the report.
7. Refunds
We will refund you in full if:
- we can't produce your report because a result is at a level that needs medical review, or because of a safety check;
- we can't produce your report for a technical reason and can't fix it within a reasonable time.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If your report isn't, tell us at hello@vigilhealth.co.uk and we will fix it or, where we can't, give you a refund. These terms don't affect those rights.
8. Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care in building Vigil and the information it provides. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under English law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, and because Vigil provides general information and not medical advice:
- we are not responsible for decisions you make about your health without consulting a qualified healthcare professional, contrary to the guidance in section 3;
- we are not responsible for errors caused by inaccurate values you confirm, or by your laboratory's results;
- Vigil is for personal use only, and we are not liable to you for business losses;
- our total liability to you for any other loss is limited to the amount you paid us for the report concerned, or £100, whichever is higher.
9. Your data and our content
Your results are yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide Vigil to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Vigil's software, design, text and reference library belong to us; you may use your report for your own personal purposes, including sharing it with your GP.
10. Suspending or ending your use
You can stop using Vigil, or ask us to delete your data, at any time. If you have an account, you can close it from your account page. We may suspend or end access if you seriously breach these terms, or if we need to for safety, legal or security reasons. If we end a paid report you haven't received for reasons that aren't your fault, we will refund you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes to Vigil or the law. Changes apply from the date shown above, and won't affect a report you have already bought. We'll tell you by email about significant changes if you have an account.
12. Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, contact us at hello@vigilhealth.co.uk and we'll try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
